Mori Aikido Dojo is affiliated of Bulungan Aikido Dojo, started its aikido –training on the 9th April 2006. Our motivation was to accomplish the citizen’s need of their children in self-defiance sport.
The dojo located in the Sport center of Puri Sriwedari Cibubur, east Jakarta, Indonesia. To give a unique and natural look, the dojo was set-up on the open air area in well maintained garden.

The members decided the dojo’s name “MORI”. Based in the location where the training taking place. Mori is a Japanese word that can be translated to be forest in English. Because of the surroundings give a forest looking impression, they came up with that name. A year later, on the 27th February 2007, the members declared the aikido-training center as Mori Aikido Dojo.
Since it was founded, Mori Aikido Dojo has been trained and supervised by members of Bulungan Aikido Dojo. They are known as Senior Senses and the most famous children trainer in Indonesia. Bulungan Aikido Dojo is a member of Indonesia Aikikai Foundation that is a direct member of Aikikai Hombu Dojo Japan.

It was started with 20 members of children beginning from 6 years of age. In a year, the dojo expanded and had 41 members which is 85% of them are children. However, we expect to have more adults’ member in the future.

The purpose of Aikido is to build a heaven on earth by bringing people together in friendship and harmony. With warm greetings and a family atmosphere, we welcome you to join our dojo, Mori Aikido Dojo.
